My husband already works from home, so he has some routines set in place, and my presence in our house threw them completely out of whack.
So today, I decided to convert our home office (which my husband ironically does not use for work) into a space where I could work, read, and generally exist while he goes about his day. I don't mind being in one room for the work day, (with breaks, of course) and it seems like he needs space to roam while on conference calls as a walk-talker.
I set out to work by first emptying and reorganizing the closet in the room, then re-arranging the furniture, and finally making the bookshelves neater and more useable. It felt good to create a new space. I even ordered a chair on wayfair that should be delivered this weekend! Putting it together will be another project, I'm sure.
The day went by quickly, and we have what feels like a whole new room of our house to exist in.
