A dramatization from my TA's Microsoft Teams Chat, during the weekly announcements video

Student 1: @Bennett, Katlyn
Student 1: @Bennett, Katlyn

Bennett, Katlyn: Hey buddy what's going on? Everything okay?

Student 1: I can't find your class

Bennett, Katlyn: Hmm, it looks like you can access the chat, can you just click join on that screen? I don't know why the link isn't showing up on the team page. You could also try going through canvas.

Student 1: NO I AM HERE

Bennett, Katlyn: OH OH OK let me go in the hall and look for you RIGHT NOW!

Student 2: @Bennett, Katlyn Where did you go?

Student 3: She's looking for student 1, he's lost

Student 2: Shouldn't we just call him into the meeting?

Student 3: NO he's lost in real life. like... at school.

Student 2: This is so confusing.

Student 4: @Bennett, Katlyn the announcements are over, can you unshare your screen?

Bennett, Katlyn: Ok we're back! We're all here... in whatever version of here we're here.

Student 2: I'm lost.

Student 2: Metaphorically.

Bennett, Katlyn: Me too, me too.

This is an interesting way to share! And we're all a little lost!

Too funny! But that was good problem solving to join the call to physically find your class. A+

What a riot! This made me laugh. Such a middle school kind of moment.

I am so glad you documented this exchange. Years from now I am REALLY hoping we can forget all the crazy juggling we have done to get kids into our online and in-person classrooms. Then we can reread this slice and laugh. For now, I'm enjoying DAY 1 of Spring Break and relaxing knowing that I don't have to "find" students until April 5th. And I just counted. After that just 45 days + 8 Mondays.
