I've never been a morning person. My alarm goes off, and like a zombie, I stumble out the door in a haze. I have often made attempts to cultivate a more calming morning routine, but it never succeeds. It's just who I am, and that's okay. Not all successful people wake up at 5...
Knowing this truth about myself, last night, I tried to remember and even improve upon my former routine for school nights.
Prepped lunch? check
Outfit? check
Coffee mug ready to go? check
Workout clothes packed for after school? check
Computer in bookbag? check
Alarm set? check
Backup alarm set? check
This morning, I felt ready to go! I woke up, donned my outfit, complete with coordinating mask, made my coffee and breakfast, did my health screening survey, grabbed my bags and walked out the door. Easy peasy!
It wasn't until I was halfway to school that I realized I left my breakfast in the microwave. Oh well, day 1 was bound to have a snag or two. A stop at Dunkin Donuts for a breakfast sandwich and a little extra caffeine must have just been in the cards!
