"What do you think of these?" I asked.
He looked over and gave his first impression, "Well, they're very bright pink." He is always honest. I could tell from his first response that he didn't love them. "Is that what you're going for?"
"Feel them." I walked over to the edge of the bed so he could assess the quality of the fabric.
Immediately after pinching the textile between his fingers he changed his initial assessment, "They are terrible."
"I know!" I sighed in dismay. I've been searching for just the right spring pants for school. Nothing has been exactly right. The thin, low quality and minimal structural integrity of this fabric should have been expected because of where I purchased them, but I had high hopes, ever the optimist. I knew that after even 15 minutes of wearing them they'd be a wrinkled mess, and would likely begin to fade and fray after a wash or two.
I think my fast fashion days are officially behind me. Have I become a pants snob, or has the quality of everything reasonably priced really gone down?
I returned the pants today, and left the store without buying anything else. It seems jeans will have to do for now.
